SENIOR MENTORING OFFICER (initial 12 Month Contract)

Salary range:  £9.80 - £11.50 per hour, negotiable, depending on experience and ability.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9-5pm, but with some flexibility to undertake un-sociable hours when required.

 

 

The Post:

This is a new position and provides an opportunity for a motivated and committed person to join our newly integrated Young Peoples service.  You will be responsible for ensuring that the day to day Housing & Support services are delivered to individuals and are of the highest possible standards.

 

You will play a key role in achieving the organisation’s long-term objectives as well as its operational targets.

 

Experience:

You will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of Supported Housing and Floating Support, the ability to motivate a well established team and the ability to plan and prioritise. You will need the ability to relate to young people and a wide variety of other stakeholders including colleagues and external agencies.  Experience in dealing with mental health issues and drug and alcohol abuse is desirable.

 

Ideally, you will have experience in Housing Management, a qualification of NVQ 3, and have had management experience in a social care/ housing context.  You will need to have considerable knowledge and experience of established QA and KPI principles and procedures.
