Over the last 7 years, the company has gone through a period of massive and rapid growth. It has:
• Doubled the number of its housing property units
• Trebled the numbers of trainees on educational programs
In order to meet our charitable objectives we continuously review what we do, how we work, what we deliver, and, which partners we work with.
What are our main activities?
Housing - we are a Foyer providing Supported Housing for single adults (age 16 – 25)
Education - we provide adult learning education (age 16 - 24) through a variety of training courses
Social Enterprise - we provide start-up and supported tenancies for companies and charities with ethical, environmental and community objectives.
Community Building - community supported British School Hall , Star Anise Arts Café, and other meeting places.

(formerly The Painswick Inn Project) is at the heart of the historic, Cotswold town of Stroud, and has been serving the community and individuals for over 20 years - developing potential through its Foyer services.
In recent years, we have widened our Foyer services, and helped provide other social community facilities such as the British School Hall, the Star Anise Arts Café and Smartworks. Our mission is:
“To enable young people in the Stroud area to discover their potential through building a community where they can live, relate, learn, work, get support and find their next step in life.
This mission is achieved by providing opportunities including housing, information and advice, artistic challenge, training, work experience for vocational discovery, further education, apprenticeships and guidance, in partnership with other organisations.
This work is informed by a holistic grasp of personal, social and spiritual growth, an approach which respects the unique path of every person.”
